What happens when the minimum period ends?

GAMSTOP's current terms include a minimum 24-hour cooling-off period after a deactivation request. If you take no action after the minimum period ends, the exclusion can remain in place for a further period under the scheme terms.

What GAMSTOP covers

GAMSTOP covers online gambling websites and apps within the scheme. It does not automatically exclude you from land-based casinos, betting shops or other physical gambling venues.

If you also gamble in person, you may need a separate self-exclusion scheme.

What GAMSTOP does not block

GAMSTOP is not device-blocking or payment-blocking software. It does not itself stop:

• gambling payments through your bank
• gambling advertising across the rest of the internet
• land-based gambling
