Source of funds: where did the money used to gamble come from?
A source of funds check is usually about the money being used now. The operator may want to understand where it came from and how it reached the gambling account or casino. In some cases, that leads to a separate question about how the customer built their wider wealth.

How did the money reach the casino?
Choose the route that best matches what happened. The examples show what records may already exist and what an operator might reasonably ask about.

ATM cash
- What can the operator already see?
- Usually the casino can only see that cash was presented, unless the withdrawal happened through a service connected to the casino.
- What might you be asked for?
- An ATM receipt and the matching bank transaction may help show how the cash reached you before you gambled.
- What might still need explaining?
- The withdrawal itself does not necessarily explain how the money got into the bank account in the first place.
